Maryland softball hosts home series against Penn State

Maryland softball (xi-17) hosts a four-game series confronting Penn State (4-19) this weekend. The schedule changed due to anticipated rain, so there will be a doubleheader Friday starting at 4 p.thousand. EST, one game on Saturday at 1 p.grand. EST and the final game on Sunday at 1 p.m. EST.
The Terps struggled defensively and offensively against the powerhouse No. 20 ranked Michigan team. Sophomore pitcher Courtney Wyche had the all-time run against Michigan with five strikeouts in game two.
Maryland only had a total of 11 hits in the unabridged series confronting Michigan. Junior first baseman Regan Kerr slammed a home run in the kickoff game. Junior second baseman Taylor Okada and freshman heart fielder Jaeda McFarland were each responsible for two hits a piece in the serial.
The Nittany Lions are coming off a 3-1 series win against Rutgers (6-22). Inferior pitcher Kylee Lingenfelter recorded the win in the 2d game with iv strikeouts and only immune three hits.
Penn State'south criminal offence was also on fire during game two. Redshirt senior designated hitter Kennedy Legg batted .500 with a home run. Inferior center fielder Lilia Crouthamel batted ii-four with a habitation run as well, and scored two runs for the Nittany Lions.
